Wayfinder’s Rules and Regulations board is dedicated to providing a safe, supportive, and caring environment for participants, staff, and community members. This board, which is purely an advisory board, receives reports and concerns from the community, and tries to address those concerns in order to maintain a positive space at camp. The board has a commitment to confidentiality, and as such, submitting a report does not guarantee the reporter a knowledge of the outcome. The board also maintains the Rules and Regulations section of the staff handbook, and provides an annual rules and regs training for each staff member. Reports can be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org. The current board members are…
Marley Myrianthopoulos is a math teacher at Discovery High School in the Bronx. Marley has been attending camps as a participant since 2002 and as a staff member since 2008. Since 2014, Marley has been directing Wayfinder’s summer programs at the High Meadow School.
The board’s newest member, Deanna, has been a part of the Wayfinder community for many years. She loves to plan and run theater, play, and trust workshops at camp, as well as hang out and get to know campers. When not at camp, she attends Stanford University, where you can find her performing in her college improv group, playing ultimate frisbee, or trying desperately to learn something.
Jud has that amazing combination of playful spirit and strict guardian which makes him an ideal member of the R&R Board. He has been romping around at camp since he was 13 years old and has grown into a very mature and sensible staff member. You can find him at camp most often teaching play or running the show as one of our directors. Jud graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in English. He is now working on a Master’s in creative writing at Rutgers University.
